DescriptionThis is a Lawrence Volunteer Fire Brigade's attendance book. In this book, the Brigade kept private records of who attended practices, meetings, and callouts between 1948 and 1962. It also records when each member joined the brigade beginning in 1927.

The second to last page also has a Memo of Application for Medals and Bars dated 21 February, 1953 requesting medals for members S C Walker, R E Weatherall, and S B Thomson.

There are many names in the book of community men who volunteer their time to protect the people and property of Lawrence. Some names listed include Soper, Lee, Galvin, McLay, Wallis, Geddes, Harvey, Neilan, Walker, Mills, McCutchon, Lennard, Boyles, and many more.
