DescriptionAlbina was born to Thomas and Kate Butler. In 1884 she married George Guise. The couple had six children between 1884 and 1891.
The family settled in Waipori in early 1893. George worked as a winchman on the Waipori dredge. The children enrolled at Waipori School from 30 January 1893. In December 1895, the two eldest daughters left the school to go to Lawrence. George Junior had previously left in August 1895 to go to Tasmania.
The family later followed George Junior to Australia, settling at Jumbunna, Victoria.
