DescriptionThe Taylor's Ashley Downs homestead distantly and faintly visible from the far side of the lake, with the "sluicegate" in the foreground. A concrete structure dammed the lake (and presumably still does), with a gate that could be raised to flood water into a canal leading to the sheep dip.
