DescriptionThis is a framed photograph of Councillor R.S. Thompson who represented the Gabriels Riding on the Tuapeka County Council between 1937 and 1955. He also served as Chairman of the Tuapeka County Council in 1940 and 1948.

This photograph is part of a collection of photographs of every councillor in the Tuapeka County's 113 year history. County Clerk Ron Bachelor began the collection which his successors, Bruce Allister and Brian Coleman continued. The collection can be viewed in the old Tuapeka County Council chambers at the Lawrence Library.Date1937-1955RightsThe photographer is unknown, therefore this image is considered an orphan work.
