DescriptionThis is a framed photograph of Councillor George Howat who represented the Tapanui Riding on the Tuapeka County Council between 1907 and 1914. He also served as Chairman in 1911.

This photograph is part of a collection of photographs of every councillor in the Tuapeka County's 113 year history. County Clerk Ron Bachelor began the collection which his successors, Bruce Allister and Brian Coleman continued. The collection can be viewed in the old Tuapeka County Council chambers at the Lawrence Library.Date1907-1914RightsThe photographer is unknown, therefore this image is considered an orphan work.
